Powerware Hot Sync™ Redundant and Capacity Systems

A parallel redundant UPS solution increases reliability and maximizes availability.
If you have ANY type of failure in any module, the critical load is still protected.

Hot Sync™ Redundant - technology goes further by eliminating critical communication wires and utilizing two separate inputs. The modules are only tied together at their outputs. Because the modules monitor themselves for failure, a Hot Sync System ensures the critical bus remains supported on conditioned power even if one module fails. A common bypass source allows the modules in the Powerware Hot Sync Redundant System to synchronize their outputs even when one of the parallel cabinets MOBs are open for maintenance. This configuration allows the system to be fully maintained, while remaining on conditioned power without the need for a wrap-around maintenance bypass.

Hot Sync™ Capacity - The growth in mega-data centers, telecom facilities, and other large centralized computing operations has created the need for an extremely large power solution. Powerware Hot Sync Capacity Systems allows up to 8 modules to operate in parallel for redundancy and/or capacity. The Hot Sync Capacity System has all the benefits of the Hot Sync Redundant System, including automatic load sharing and synchronization, but adds capacity beyond a single module. Powerware Hot Sync Capacity Systems have the built-in intelligence to automatically recognize the load and allow for N+1, N+2, or even N+3 redundancy.
